AMD AM2 ATX or BTX

The BTX layout helps with case cooling and by extension cooling other components. It was Intel's response to the hotter P4 cores and their urge to get more out of them. Since then, they've went back to the P3 type of core and redesigns of that which run cooler so BTX has pretty much died a death.

Oh right, thanks. So Intel went through all that trouble of redesigning the case/mobo layout for the sake of their poorly designed P4s? :D

Hope we stick with ATX, I don't want to buy another case.

BTX was alive at least in some form a few months ago, there was a lab with some BTX stuff in there up in Swindon, though I didnt get to see anything working as the bloke doing his stuff in there was away.

Well as i said

THE STACKER IS IN BTX FORM

whats so non understandable about that????

Tom
so you have a BTX motherboard then?

if you have an ATX motherboard it wont fit in the stalker when its in TRUE BTX setup. You can just put the ATX tray in upside down, however BTX has the ports and slots in different locations
