AMD and RAID

I hear loads about Intel ICH9/10R but nothing about AMD controllers. Is this because their crap or what? How do they fair against intels in performance, reliability etc etc?

Good question. My set-up:

m3a79t-deluxe, 720be, 2xWD 500GB blacks (WD5001AALS) RAID0, XP32 = Avg. 140, burst 295.

I've found a lot of flaky onboard RAID controllers recently, including Intel. One I've just had reported that one of the drives had failed and had degraded the RAID yet when I tested the reported faulty drive on it's own using the Samsung Diagnostic tool, it reported no problems. I replaced the drive but still have no idea what the problem was.
