Which is letting FX60 go for £200 new Retail. Not bad considering they cost £700 a year ago. Yes, I realise a £200 C2D is better value, but for those still on s939 and looking for a nice upgrade, then the FX60 at this price is simply amazing as it is guaranteed to hit 3.0ghz and beyond :)

I am seriously tempted to get one. Foolish, perhaps. Fun? Yes!

The main and best US etailor have them in stock for just over $400. Depending on the exchange rate that would equal anything between £200-230.

The Dollar went up yesterday btw.

Oh I want one :)

How was the ride? It was easy :/ :o

I dont think anyone is contesting the fact Conroe is the quicker CPU. The point is for someone with a good 939 setup and quality DDR, this is not a bad option.

When I go conroe, I will want the best ram and best mobo to overclock it. And we all know it wont be a £40 upgrade anymore.

It's the fastest dual core chip on S939 at stock bar none, regardless of unlocked multi or a users knowledge. If someone not overclocking savvy is looking for the best chip to fit that socket then that's what chip they'll likely end up with.

Exactly!

I have feeling regardless of what we say some people will never stop arguing.
