AMD Athlon 5000+ and FX 62?

The FX62 would probably come in around the same as the FX60 is now. They usually bump in and replace the highest processor, pushing everything below it down a notch.

there wil be a 65w 4400+ on 939 though according to the chart i've seen - maybe that will clock a lot higher (?)

DDR2, as the memory controller is on the CPU it can't easily support both.

I thought the amd always had its mem controller on the cpu and it was intel that used the mobo

So the big question is how much will an AM2 3700 single core and AM2 3800 Dual core cost compared to the socket 939 versions? If they're roughly comparable then you'd have to be out of your mind to upgrade to socket 939 right now. Or maybe, the socket 939 mobos and chips will become dirt cheap to clear existing stock and they'll be a great 'value' upgrade?
