am i right in thinking that the amd athlon 64 3800+ x2 is effectively 2 amd athlon 64 3200+. ???

2x 64 3000 iirc.

no, 2x 3200. 3000s are only 1.8Ghz.

I'm running a 3200 at the moment - would a 3800 X2 be a worthwhile upgrade (given how cheap they are becoming)? Or should I aim higher?
