Hello:-)
I was about to buy AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 4600 but im not to sure about running a 8800 gts 320MB with it?
My current system is
Amd 64 3500
geforce 6200 turbo cache (Bad i know)
viewsonic 22"
I dont bother overclocking,So i just would like to know if that cpu would go ok with that GFX card.
Thanks for your help:)

CPU will be fine with that GFX card. However the combo would benefit greatly from a little over clocking. :)

What resolution do you game at?

Must be 1680x1050 with that viewsonic.

You'll be fine! My 3800X2 was fine along side my GX2 - but as blakka says... overclocking will improve performance!

Its easy man, or your too soft !

I've had a friend who builds pcs and never bothered overclocking. Overclocking's easy as long as you've got the right kit. I tried it with my old A8N (the earlier versions that came with the duff chipset fan), and that started to overheat, not tried it since  .

I think i will try and do some overclocking today,But i will try and overclock my amd 64 3500 first :)
My motherbroad is a Asus M2N-E by the way

Would it be in there by any chance?

right i know how to change the CPU Frequency. So when i have done that,Is there anything else which needs to be changed?

I'm not a pro at this, but if you change your CPU multiplyer, it should increase your Clock speed. I might be wrong on this, I've only done it once, and I had to up the FSB to keep up with the ram.
