AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 6000+ 3.00GHz (Socket AM2)

Not much point TBH. The manufacturing process is near its limit at 3Ghz, so you're unlikely to get much further. If you want an upgrade, get a C2D.

ouch :D

On a serious note

C2D AT 3ghz will destroy that chip in every test

Is it worther getting this chip ??

As mu 5200 will happyly hit 3ghz, if any one has this chip, what does she clock to ??

Cheers

3.2-3ghz, around.

As Mattus said, the architecture is at its end and wont go much further.

actually some chips have been clocking amazingly well for AMD...

behold! he hasnt reached max yet either

So today I got myself a 6000+, to replace my 4600+
Model: ADX6000IAA6CZ
Stepping: CCB8F 0714UPMW

Immediately after I boot up, I open up the Nvidia monitor to find out how this thing was running.
To my surprise, I found that it was sitting on 21ºC!
that's cooler than my 4600+ ever got, even at stock speed. (with the water cooling system unchanged from the 4600+, apart from fresh AS5)

So I begin overclocking on my Foxconn C51XEM2AA (with Nforce 590 SLI chipset), and I've found some good results so far.
Right now, I'm running it at over 3.4GHZ, completely stable in prime95. Right out of the box.
I haven't started burning it in yet, and the AS5 is freshly applied, too.

I'm able to successfully run 3dmark06 with it over 3.5GHZ, and so far I've broken 10k coupled with my 8800 GTS 320MB (630 core, 920 mem, default settings)

I'm now going to burn-in this CPU, so I can hopefully get it prime95 stable over 3.5GHZ

WOW thats fast !!!
Whats the voltage on that baby ??
And the HT X on, cause mine doesn't affect my speed, i can have it on 1 or 5 it still stops out at the same speed !

Sorry guys wanna stick with AMD's, i know there slower ( a little ) but there harder to overclock, and in my eyes it's easy to get a pentium fast but it's an art to get an AMD running fast !!

Quad core on my board ?!?! that would be spanking !!!
