Hi has any body had any experience with the new AM3 AMD dual cores.Do the have the ability to compete against the bottom of the range intel 775 cpu's as far as mild overclocked performance on stock heat sink is concerned .This would be for a budget system to last a few year's with the intention of up grading to quadcore in a year's time .

The 245 is a cracker of a chip, we have had both the 240 and 245 chips to above 4.00GHz on air when we were testing them.

Were using Dominator GT 2000MHz and a MSI GD70 / Crosshair III with them but when the chips are "unleashed" you can get some quite good results from them.

That sounds great no reason to buy into an end of line socket 755 setup then.

From what I've read, the 240 is about the same as a Intel E6300 in most games. (at stock speeds)

I just bought a Titan Nero with a 245 in it for my partner's birthday. I'd like to know how fast Yewen thinks these chips could go on the supplied nForce 430 board . . ?
