AMD Athlon X2 Drivers???

Hi People

I'm about to do a XP reinstall and I have been downloading all needed new drivers to be prepared.

I noticed when hunting for the latest AMD Athlon X2 driver that it is marked as (x86 and x64 exe) see link.

Does this mean the driver is for 64 bit Windows XP. If not what does it stand for???

Yeah that's right x64 means its for windows xp 64 bit edition

Will it also run on Windows XP 32 bit as well What does the x86 stand for?

x86 is 32 bit just to make sue you are totally confused !

comes form old IBM chip standard i believe....386,486, then came the Pentium 90 etc

Tis correct yes, you will need to get the x86 drivers as that is for windows 32 bit

But the dual core optimiser coupled with the driver can make video and games run better because the driver knows what to do with the cores better than xp can
