AMD Beta 14.x driver PPD increases

For all you AMD folders out there..

Looks like the 14.1/2/3 Beta drivers are increasing PPD by about 20% for last generation boards. No help for the current 290 range but great for 7950/7970/280X cards, and even 7850/70 cards apparently.

Looking at jumps from 95K to 115K PPD on a 7950 and up to 165KPPD on a 7970!

You seen the gain too? Boy am I glad. I posted ages ago in the driver's thread when I saw my tpf shoot downwards. 112-115k per day on a 7950 Only an extra degree or 2 tho, so not really straining anything.

Installed the 14.3 beta1 this morning. It'll be a while til I see some actual results but temps have risen slightly again so maybe good news

Uh-oh!! Can I take that back? 3 lock-ups in as many hours when folding (no OC), nothing in event viewer. Gone back to the 14.2 betas. Win7 x64/hd5770+hd7950.

I've just upgraded to a 290x but its not letting me fold with it. Is that right?

Should be able to fold just fine with that. What version of the drivers are you using?

I know there was a shortage of GPU WU's for a while, but I'm sure that's been sorted.

to be fair I had a 4-5 WU error, so would they stop sending them to me?
