Following an AMD Reddit thread I noticed more leaked specs for upcoming AMD Bristol Ridge APU's.

https://www.reddit.com/r/Amd/comments/4n4iw1/bristol_bridge_lineup_specs/

The first range of APU's on AMD's AM4 platform that will also accommodate Zen cores when they release.

Adding these new specs to what are already known for the Bristol Ridge flagship we get:

Name: A12-9800

CPU core = 3800-4200MHz
GPU frequency = 1108MHz
Ram frequency = DDR4 (2400)
Stream processors = 512
Wattage = 65/95w?

Posts in the Reddit thread suggest this the 9800's iGPU should be compared to a 7750 at that speed.
An Xbox One is stated to have a 7790 with DDR3 and ESRAM which should be similar to a GDDR5 7750.

So, along with a rumour a I heard a while ago, it may well be the case that this APU has similar gaming performance to the XBOX One along with more efficient excavator cores.

Don't get two excited. You have to remember that consoles are able to get a lot more out of a 7790 then a PC can due to all the driver and API overheads, so whilst on paper the specs may look similar performance wise it won't be close at all.
Richard Huddy at AMD spoke about this years ago.

Don't forget, These will most likely be updated GCN cores to balance that equation.
;-)

Also you linked to XBOX 360 which is a different machine.

...And when I tested the Richland 6800 it was easily matching the 360 in performance.

Seems plausible.

I sincerely hope that Zen isn't limited to 2400 Dual-channel like these are. That's probably my biggest worry with Zen.

I'm sure we will see a bump there. It will be necessary until a distant time when we get HBM memory lodged into the APU.

between 7730 DDR3 and 7750 gddr5, but with hdmi2
Hevc 256 4k. Good for a 4k htpc but not much use for 1080 gaming.

Ohh amd get rid of this junk and get out the real badboys.

Its better they get these out to shift motherboards before Zen arrives. If priced well there is also a market for them for gamers for a while yet.
