AMD Bulldozer Finally!

if its at good price people will buy even if intel releases a faster chip which would be more money.

it's like with the phenom II's some people still buy due to price......

There's sod all reason to buy Phenom II X4's anymore, this has been the case for a while now.
The 2100 destroys the Phenom II X4's.

so what about the features amd offer, such as amd overdrive? for some people it's not all about performance, that includes me.

just because maybe u and some other people think features are not so important doesn't mean everybody else thinks that.

I said Phenom II x4, not AMD ;)
I don't understand the "feature" concept personally. But if other people need the features, fair enough.

the intel g620 and g840 are better bang for buck cpus, they are the same as i3-2100 but lower clock speeds of 2.6 and 2.8ghz. around £53-64 each so £30-40 ish cheaper than i3-2100 and not that much slower.

AMD Overdrive is just an idiots guide to doing all the things which can be done anyway through the BIOS or using 3rs party tools... it's certainly no reason to sacrifice performance by buying an inferior CPU architecture.

I am also in the camp that thinks Bulldozer is going to be nothing overly special... I would put money that it's going to be a case of "too little, too late". AMD must have lost a crapload of enthusiast market share of late and people are investing in Intel rigs now more than ever. I can't see this changing unless Bulldozer proves to be truly, truly extraordinary.

I think AMD overdrive is more to do with Gareth's disability, being able to use the cursor, no disrespect meant.
That said, mouse controlled BIOS makes AMD Overdrive redundant in that area.

im so tempted right now to get a cheap SB system and forget bulldozer... BUT... what if it turns out to be great and ill regret spending the money now...

why can't some people here just accept everybody is different, thinks differently, want different things, have different needs.

people can buy which ever they want. ether way there isn't a wrong way.

example i've bought a gigabyte 990fxa-ud5. maybe some people think it's a waste and to others it's maybe not but really ether way there isn't a wrong way.

What does AMD overdrive offer? Nothing really. Mouse controlled BIOS has been out for awhile now.
