AMD Bulldozer Finally!

Problem with Llano though is that the GPU isn't powerful enough for decent gaming, and too powerful for browsing or media playing. It's in that hole that most people would just get a PS3/Xbox for casual gaming.

but a lot of the people that use their pcs for media and internet usage are the kind that will only use it for casual gaming, so it does fit in. and like its been pointed out, the one thats been quoted is one of the higher end Llano chips, some will be hitting the shelves at £50+ so that the price of a semi decent gfx card alone.

It can be used for gaming... People use the 4670 to game on, with fast RAM Llano is like a 4670.

yep, you can't get 30fps at say 1400x900 with modern games which makes not good enough for casual gamers, if it was a little bit better then it would fully eliminate the need for a 3rd party low-end gpu. amd say that trinity will be a lot better so we'll have to wait for that i would think.

I know a few people who have an HD4670 and it is certainly fine for games like WoW,L4D,L4D2,Civilization V,StarCraft 2,UT3,Dragon Age,Portal,Portal 2,Supreme Commander and Supreme Coomander 2. The cards were also paired with dual cores too.

Interestingly when the IGP has a sufficiently large overclock with high speed RAM the 3DMark 11 score is around the same as the HD5670 GDDR5 in one of my computers:

casual gamers who might buy at purple shirt world and not have a clue generally about anything. Surely this is exactly their target audience. Specialised and premium goods is not something you'd 'give away'
