AMD Bulldozer Finally!

No, i didn't. He's simply spouting the same line he's been saying for months, and people are tired of it. Look at the length of this thread for gods sake. The thread is full of misinformation, guesses and random bs, yet AMD have done absolutley nothing to clarify or even stem the flow of misinformation that's spread around the net now.

yup the same line........ he cannot talk about it.......what is so difficult to understand, it doesn't matter how many times and however many questions he is asked if he cannot talk about it the answer will always be the same.
how some people don't understand this is beyond me.

I'm not getting worked up over it.
It's just I'd have liked to stay AMD. But I wanted the performance they weren't offering at the time.

I'd say I was peeved because of the delays and utter lack of information about BD.

I mean, before SB launched, we had a very good idea of how it'd perform.

But you have no right to any info at all anyway.
Its totally at the discretion of the manufactures to release info and how much before a product is available.
I'm not going to cry, get angry or worked up because i didn't get my way unless i was a big OEM who needs major forward planning.

here is a thought, why the hell if Bulldozer is expected in just over two weeks is there no 'pre-order' option on this very site? correct me if I am wrong but wasn't Sandy Bridge available for pre-order, Nehalem was available for pre-order also? am I missing something, can anyone shed any light on this?

Off topic ..........Reading between the lines, I'm glad that we taxpayers will not be totally subsidising these systems nowadays :)

Off topic - I ain't gettin a loan or grant or anything I'm just not wanting to buy computer parts (and certainly not assemble them) cause first week back starts in a few days so it will be a week of drinking my bodyweight in cider and vodka everyday followed by a fortnight long hangover ;)

Also do you reckon if AMD don't release bulldozer Intel will just keep SB prices high until they release Ivy?

thats intel tho

amd maybe doing it different.

Haven't you heard, bulldozer doesn't exist, it's just forum rumour. tehe.

Seriously though, I'm glad I didn't choose to wait for it back in Feb and got a new thuban based setup instead, been using it over 6 months now. So delay is welcome and the longer it is the more likely I am to upgrade when BD is released, presuming it's better than SB of course.

I wouldn't be supprised if AMD were targeting a christmas release. Is there any reason to release it sooner?

That doesn't defend his comment or explain why the Phenom II 'sucks'?

Yes it's not cutting edge but it's far from being a pile of steaming turd like the his throwaway comment would have us believe.

I have AMD and Intel systems, no bias here.

no bias here either. I've owned plenty of Phenom 2 chips and they were all lacking. They are only marginally better than the Q6600 from over 4 years ago
