AMD Bulldozer Finally!

SSE3, your point :p? I'm on about SSSE3, and that SSE4A is something else, they're not the same as Intels superior instruction set.

SSE (S3) is SSSE3 I hope.

They're the two that the emulator use. SSE3 is useless for that, though I'm hoping on an AVX plugin soon.

Okay, If the wiki page is correct and SSSE3 is supported by bobcat and bulldozer, then 3S seems to be the designation.

I got to admit, I've just been looking at the CH V, and it's lane spacing is a hell of a lot better than my Maximus IV Extreme's, I'm half tempted to get one.

So AMD's boards are quite a lot better.
yeah it's a very good board, good slot spacing. very good bios , stable voltage with LLC options, ect...

well worth the money.

tbh for the quality/features it has it could easyly be priced around £200-220.

My CH V arrived yesterday, Very very pleased, The quality is AWESOME, It does everything i need and much more. Not bad for £170 Delivered.

:-)

heres some news, it has been deleted since it went up but has been found on webcache, now its from a reputable source, sisandra, they seem to be one of the first with silicon in hand for reviews etc, make of it what you will ;)

bulldozer vs sandybridge benchmark review

http://webcache.googleusercontent.c...zer&cd=2&hl=de&ct=clnk&gl=de&client=firefox-a

Engineering sample which is slower than old AMD tech.

Do you really believe Bulldozer will be slower than what AMD already offer?

hope so, a lot of the benchmarks aren't relevent to us lot, so the results look worse at first glance, most relevent one is the multimedia benckmark using sse which puts it within 15% of sandy bridge, am i right in thinking this is raw computing power without any avx etc??

if so beating nehalem is an extremely good result is it not in most tests? especially with it running at 2.8ghz with turbo only to 3.8

hoping its a cracker in pro audio work such as cubase vst's :) means i can retire my main comp for a small dozer system and game on laptop.

noticed as well with the cryptography benchmark without using sandy bridges fancy hardware decoder bulldozer pulls out a 16% lead.

And the multimedia benchmarks will be 8 cores, so it beating out 4 cores isn't surprising.
It'll be an encoding,transcoding,rendering beast.
