only a few were delivered to ocuk and they all sold out , so some have them or will have soon

I am waiting on one tomorrow!! and will be trying it out i have been gaming on my 1090t for over a year now and have no complaints so if it doesn't work out i will continue as is but i very much doubt it will be a let down, too many people are jumping all over this without personally seeing the chip in action it would be interesting to find out how many of the people posting on this thread have actually seen/used BD in person.

i'm not actually waiting for a patch i just think there is too much chat with lack of actual info!!! but a patch would probably help lol

i'm sorry but people are taking all this far too seriously i thought overclocking was for experimentation and fun! i'd rather be playing about trying something new than buying a SB and copying someone else's settings. doesn't matter really i'll still be looking through the scope of my gun and popping people in BC2 and BF3 FX or Phenom powered. AMD Tri-fire ***

It is fair enough to an extent, if someone wanted to buy a BD to experiment with then it's really up to them. Performance isn't attrocious and it'd be interesting enough to see some more results I guess.
It's just that you couldn't really recommend it to anyone, especially if they were coming from a 4ghz X6. Most of the evidence says the chip you have will be better.
I can't see there being much magical tricks or patches that are going to miraculously transform BD. At the moment, it just isn't very good for the money.

of all the talk of squeezing more from thurban - the 1100T was really the top end they could go to - theres a lot of leakage allready at that speed and going higher would have been problematic

and as for apatch - xs is still rumour mill of one coming - linux first maybe

Just skimmed through a few posts and it seems that the Bulldozer launch has been an utter failure. Shame as after this massive wait I would have though that AMD might have an Ace up their sleeve which could level the playing field with Intel. Looks like i'll be going Intel next year for my upgrade.

looks like vcore max is 1.50v for air cooling..

should get to 5ghz+

With the rumoured stability issues, high power draw and heat output is 5Ghz even accessible without stupid cooling solutions/disabling 'cores'?

I'd imagine 5ghz/1.5V is going to be difficult to keep under safe temperatures with air, you're probably going to need watercooling to get the most out of overclocking BD.

Did you miss the rumoured part of that sentence?

Multiple reviewers have been reporting cpu based BSODs even when running at stock. People do not need to buy the cpu at retail for this information to be known/rumoured.
