AMD Bulldozer Finally!

i thought to be a native 8-core it as to have the cores with they resources?
Nah, when they released the X2 and then the X4, they always banged on about it being native because Intel only had chips that took either a single core or a dual core and put two of them on the processor.

You are still missing my point.

I am not interested in professional reviews, from websites who may have been paid money by AMD to give them a good review, using a cherry picked CPU.

I want to see user reviews from Joe Public, who have bought a product from a shop.

My question still stands, if there are any user reviews out there, please post them. Please do not post reviews by professional websites as there must be 100s of them around, by now. I have no interest in them.

But they're not giving them a good review?
They're bashing the CPU, its power draw, etc.

Right i am going to play devils advocate a bit here!! if you look at all the benchmarks you will notice all are tested on a CHV board that as part of the retail package that AMD sent out also with a GTX 580 if you dig deeper you will find some benches on gigabyte boards with ATI GPU's attahced then there is a slight difference in the figures. if you check forums there are many people who are having problems with BD and CHV boards i think the retail kits that were given out are not showing the true performance values, and after a bios update and a bit of tweaking the chip will do exactly what it was built to do and land firmly behind the 2600k and a bit in front of the 2500k it's too early yet to say too much but the chip has had such bad press no one has bought it. give it time!!!

Even with another board, it's only ahead of the 2500k in app's that utilise the "cores", in it's still worse clock for clock than PII.

and intel have raised prices by 10% - with another raise expected next year - and ivy bridge delayed till summer 2012.

+1...Thanks to "You know yourselves".. Intel fanboys propagander.. Most forget that competition is key to advancement. Not saying you should not speak your opinion, but speak one of which you have rerived yourself, and not spoon feed by review sites.

NO-ONE has even seen this chip or used it for everyday use, yet most of you speak of the chip as such you've used it all your life. Hence, My strong belief that someone on this site is getting paid by Intel to fuel this rubbish talk. Even though the chip is not as fast as the competition, should we all be forced to use the same product? where has choice gone? What about an alternative? Wow... Talk about getting rid of Pepsi cos cokes tastes better, init? (Your arguement...Im just saying)

And, that is why there is so much fear that Gareth wants to try it out. Maybe he MIGHT just expose the truth... or Maybe Not.. But what I'm sure of, is that, if it were the 2500K chip he wanted to check out and return, we would not be subject to popular grief he received.

I dunno what price change there's been in the UK but the $ - £ exchange rate slumped more than 7% since the end of August and has only started recovering the past couple of weeks, so it could certainly have accounted for price increases here.

Edit: In fact in the same time frame the Euro slumped about 9% against the dollar!

-1... This is not down to exchange rates. There was an increase in price worldwide. And, i pointed out one person who lives on this site as the reason for the increase. Thats my view. Take it or leave it.

Plus1, you're the only one spreading propaganda here, and that is AMD biased propaganda.

If Bulldozer performed fine, then we wouldn't care, there would be choice, right now if you want consistent performance, who do you go for? Intel. There simply isn't a real choice.

AMD have lowered their own price/performance, as price wise the FX6 replaces Thuban's and the FX4 replaces Deneb, but they perform worse.
And what truth will Gareth uncover LOL? Every review out shows pretty much consistent results, that is, lower IPC than Phenom II.
Worst thing is, you're probably a dupe account.

EDIT : You think I single handedly increased Intels pricing? LOL.

All reviews have been made with the retail set and the CHV i'm not saying it's a bad board as i have one here in front of me i am saying that something is not right with it and bulldozer and there will be a new bios realesed shortly.

Not all reviews.

Reading above, has anyone actually bought and posted their own experience of the 8150 yet?

You know, normal folk like us? I want to read a 8150 user thread, any forum, but they seem thin on the ground!

Has anyone any links. :)
