AMD Bulldozer Finally!

Any more news on the release date?

Looking forward to getting a new computer that is AMD but need the new PC soon so might end up going with an i5 otherwise :(

ASUS will release new Crosshair Formula V for the AM3+ and will into the market from this summer to later autumn

but it will be very costly as ROG models are not cheap to buy... find out when it come out and see the cost for CPU and motherboard

well if it will be same price point as Ch IV was then its not bad , but if they going to charge for them same price as intel Asus RoG mobs it will be insanely expensive

Doubtful it'll be as well priced as the CHIV Formula was as theres the Sabertooth model before it - so it will be the usual high end £200 jobbie probably :(

Nothing warrants a move to it from my CHIV tbh as long as the CHIV doesn't prohibit the performance of BD

Bulldozer officially requires AM3+. Some AM3 boards will support Bulldozer though, you have to look at the manufacturer's website for each board to see which ones do and which ones don't.

We still dont know how far the term support goes though yet, It could be utter rubbish in an AM3 board or there may be no problems at all.
If I was you I'd wait to see the benefits of AM3+ over AM3 if I was buying a new board specifically for BD.

What do you guys reckon about the Sabertooth board? Personally I'd like something that'd fill the M4A89TD's slot as I think a Crosshair would be a gigantic waste of pennies for me. Sabertooth should be a bit on the cheaper side of premium, I hope.

"However, AMD's architecture has great assets in his pocket, and is able to make a nice career. The flexibility of the modules versions promises to more than 8 cores in the near future, and if the frequencies are at the rendezvous, the performance will be present, especially in multi-threaded processing.

Still, it will still be patient. If the first sample Zambezi begin to be distributed, the launch should not occur before July. It will take a little longer to judge the effectiveness of the new architecture into practice and see if AMD has won his bet, an appointment can not miss it!"
