Who says its delayed again?
Or is it just yet another rumour (As there was a rumour the other week that they were gonna be able to pull the next generation of BD forward, but again just a rumour) that may or may not be true but honestly most folk making that guess is just guessing, at a guess theres probably one or two folk in this whole thread that has any real inside info on delays etc, rather than just picking out a couple of storys here and there and jumbling them all together to make there own rumour.

@davieg It's all rumours. Some people saying it'll be released in October, November, or even cancelled completely. Trouble is that very few people know when it'll actually be released, and they've all signed a NDA.

Yup, looks to have worse IPC than Phenom II according to that score. Hopefully it's fake or at least clocks like a beast (average OC of course, we already know what cherry picked bulldozers can do).

Just because Tankguy cant get them from his suppliers till November doesnt mean theres a delay, he isnt exactly going to be high up his suppliers list on filling orders as Tankguy isnt really a big seller by the looks of his site and also what he says about his own buying power.
I know a store or two around my way that probably wont get them in till a year after they're released, does that mean its delayed a year just because a certain stores supplier isn't fulfilling there orders for them.
Not to say it isnt delayed yet again as no one has released any official statements (yet again), I still dont get the big deal from AMD of not just coming out and saying the Launch date now, its not as if OEMs arent gonna know they have a new chip lined up by now.

I know, but this could indicate a/nother possibility of one.

As you stated, Amd should just give us the release date to stop all the speculation, but the reason they don't is because they would lose sales on current cpu's.

my point is some people saying they'll wait for fm2/Piledriver next year but im just saying we don't even know if fm2/Piledriver will be delayed or even put back so they maybe they'll be waiting longer than they thought. just like the BD some people waiting for,.

Fair point, but if they're wanting to wait, they're not going to settle on BD, or they might, who knows.

No one's saying it is Novemeber, except for the possibility.

I'm hoping it comes through for October, as I have a build to do, I still believe it will be October.

When is Ivy Bridge due out, I was looking to get BD but now I think I may aswell wait until Ivy Bridge arrives.

The old e6750 C2D will have to soldier on a bit longer!

I'm gonna wait for FM2/Piledriver. I'm placing it around Q4 2012 or even 2013.

I'm placing Ivy Bridge around H2 2012.

I got a cheap 2500k to put me on till 2013.

I get the feeling that somehow AM3+ is a dead socket. Just a hacked AM3 platform rushed to get BD out in 2011. That's just my opinions tho.

All sockets (including FM2) from both sides have limited life span so I don't see that as an issue ,especially when motherboards are cheaper then CPUs in general.

So in general if you can afford a new CPU you can afford a new motherboard for the most part IMHO...I normally upgrade every 3-5 years so FM2 will be dead and buried by then so you see my point,I just upgrade both CPU and board at same time...It is pointless trying to keep up with latest tech unless you want to throw money away far too often.

Latest rumours put it right at the end of Q2 (June) unless it slips again. So you're looking at a good 9 months, maybe more. 7 months minimum.

Just did some googling, while there's rumours of delay, what's the actual word? Has anything changed from the May's roadmap?

I'm also confused when people say SB-E etc is delayed.

AMD has not been too well received in the upper end of CPUs for quite some time now. Once Intel started pushing for performance with their Conroe core, AMD was forced to stay competitive in the mainstream market to survive and that is pretty much where we have been for the last 5 years. Also returning after a nearly 5-year hiatus is the FX moniker for AMD’s flagship products. According to leak(s) from Microcenter that floated past our desks we should see a resurgence of at least one of those two on October 12th, 2011:
