AMD Catalyst 11.1 Driver Preview

As the first update of AMD graphics card drivers of 2011, AMD Catalyst 11.1 will bring us great changes. No mention to support AMD Radeon HD 6990 graphics card and other 6900 series graphics, AMD Catalyst 11.1 will be able to improve graphics performance for all AMD cards.

Expected coming before Dead Space 2, AMD Catalyst 11.1 can fix most of the AMD Radeon HD 6900 or 6800 or any old AMD video card crash, blue screen problems for Windows 7, Vista, XP, Mac, Linux Ubuntu 10.10, Ubuntu 11.04.

More details on how AMD Catalyst 11.1 improves Dead Space 2 will be posted soon after the new driver coming out.

wonder if it will boost my old 4870 then. I just recently flashed the card to the ASUS top bios and now have my core at 840mhz and memory at 1020mhz.

One can hope!

Probably because he only quoted half the sentence..

Driver is only 2 months late for the products they're shipping anyways Lost what little faith I had in amd drivers when it took them so long to fix the over-clocked profiles bugs last year myself. Or launching 6 series cards without supporting drivers.
