I really really really hope they fix the hardware acceleration problem in firefox4.

So far so good with the hardware acceleration bug. Been about six hours installed and my system hasn't fallen to the 99% GPU hanging bug.

Am I right in thinking thr 11.4 drivers are not really brining anything new to the party for the 5XXX series (in my case 5970). From the official AMD posts http://blogs.amd.com/play/2011/03/14/the-amd-catalyst%E2%84%A2-preview-driver-that-you-have-been-waiting-for/ it sound like the drivers are all about optimising for 6XXX series.

I'm holding on 10.10e at the moment, all of the newer drivers i've tried seem to introduce one problem or another with no real benefit as far as I can see.

Only thing I can see in the 11.4 preview for the 5xxx cards is " Includes fixes where Dragon Age 2 would hang in DirectX11 on ATI Radeon™ HD 5800 Series products " :

If you're not having any real problems then I'd stick with what you currently have tbh, as good crossfire drivers are about as rare as hens teeth

The. Last preview drivers work for me just fine and its,hard to jusitfy an upgrade to beta drivers. Will either wait for a RC version of 11.4 or the,official ones, especially since the 11.3 is older than the preview,drivers.

to fix the flickering on Crysis 2 just put vsync on and turn up the brightness up by 1 then back down by 1

yeah still flickers until i turn up the brightness up by 1 then back down by 1

Really? Because i have no flickering in Tri-fire but i did when i was just using my 5970, and i couldn't get above 30 FPS and multiplayer used to drop down to 1 FPS and i'd have to quit the game.

It's a conflict between the 1.1 patch & the drivers / CAP's.

If you roll back to the original C2 exe, flickering's gone & xfire scaling works apparently :

Bioshock profile worked fine for me. but hopefully the CAP's out soon will fix it for good
