I had to do it with Manhunter (yes, old game i know) as the steam version refused to work. I was able to swap the .exe file for a previous version, to be able to get the game to run. (Loads of posts about it if you search google)

Assuming you could find the first version .exe file, you should be able to swap them, as long as you don't verify the integrity with steam.

Is a bit annoying, though it can be done.

Though personally I'd wait for the next patch/profile to be released, both of which are this week.

Just to update the ATI/Firefox issue. I managed to cause it again just now. The lesson here is...

If you want Firefox 4 with Hardware Acceleration then you must remember to close it completely before opening a game. If you don't do so then it causes 99% GPU hang.

Does anyone else get black screens, on and off, in BC2? HUD is still there but the rest is black for a split second, sometimes permanent until moving. Does it mostly on Heavy Metal map.

Not particularly with these drivers, possibly in xfire?

Had no flicker in Crysis 2 with 11.2's but with 11.3 I got it. Adjusted the brightness down and up and its fixed it.

I'm using the 11.4 early preview drivers (from when they first appeared). As mentioned, it seems they have been updated and the last update to the web page was yesterday, so I'm going to download them again and try them out.

He seems quite upset that 11.3 driver is nearly identical to 11.2 performance give or take.

Bit harsh! Just because it doesn't offer a million FPS increase on each title. Drivers aren't just about boosting FPS...!

What about stability, features, bug fixes, image quality, etc, etc.

Why would you want Hardware Acceleration enabled anyway (unless you have a really slow CPU), it causes clocks and voltage spikes either way and the 99% usage bug just adds to the disgrace that AMD's support in this case is.

Try disabling BLOOM or setting it to low and see if it still does it after restarting the game . Worked for me in MOH but I had to do that in the settings.ini file which is located in /My Documents/BFBC2/settings.ini

Has anyone suffered the 100% GPU bug? I get this a lot. For some unknown reason out of the blue it'll just go to 99%.

Yep 99% bug is still present with 5970, as is the mosue lag bug. Back to 10.10e yet again, ATI's drivers have been pants since 10.10e and I've not seen them acknowledge these 2 bugs at all. Pretty disapointed overall.

AMD has acknowledged the 99% bug but when will it be fixed is anyone's guess.

Besides the bugs we all know about the performance of the drivers are improving but still these bugs make that irrelevant as the people effect will avoid using them.

Getting worse in my case.......99% bug now showed itself on both cores, which it had never done before (was always just the one on every driver since 10.11).

What AMD/ATI need to acknowledge is fixing problems should be taking priority rather than scamming an extra frame or two in average FPS........would be far more impressed with that approach rather than point scoring.

Indeed the later drivers are even worse for the 99% bug & i had all 4 GPUs at 99% in no time so im back on 11.2. which has the bug but less severe.
