AMD Catalyst 14.4 WHQL Driver out now

Hello everyone,

We just released the WHQL driver, which can be downloaded from here

Similar to previous drivers, please make sure to check out the Release Notes page for more details about this driver and use the Issue Reporting Form to report any bugs.

If you have slightly pink areas on your browsers etc after installing these you need to open
CCC/My Digital Flat Panels/Display Colour and tick the EDID box to get it back to white again..

Flickering on loads of textures in BF4 in Quadfire (7990x2), running one 7990 and it's fine... will report it on link page.

Installed these drivers and made the schoolboy error of letting it do a express install. Seems to have installed a bunch of HDMI sound drivers for my 2 x 7900 completely screwing up my Soundblaster Zx settings somehow to the point the SB software doesn't see the Soundblaster any more. The advice from the rptr gaminf evolved app seems to be to optimise my games by turning a a bunch of the settings to low despite the PC being more than capable of coping with them at high settings. Oh, and catalyst control center now won't start, it just gives a busy blue ring then vanishes. /sigh

For the games I have tested so far, I think it works well. It recommends highest settings for me. what game is it?

They are similar. The RC1 was the release candidate we submitted to Microsoft for certification. If you haven't done so, I suggest installing this version and give it a try.

There isn't an official comparison page, but you can do a search for the ones you're interested in comparing. For example, you can search for Catalyst 13.12 and compare the information found there with the Catalyst 14.4 page.

14.4 is listed for 32- and 64-bit variants of XP, but not for Vista. :confused:

Having just discovered this, I've nearly finished downloading the XP version, presuming this will install onto Vista (rather than the Windows 7/8/8.1 version).

Any confirmation of Vista installing by fellow users (or Sam) would be appreciated.

Blue screen during installation, typical AMD drivers. Going back to some beta drivers from 10 years ago for stability.

Also, changing resolution of video to HD in YouTube with embedded items now crashes the application... not really impressed with these at the moment, they feel a backward step even from the 14.2 BETA's?
