AMD Catalyst 14.6 RC Driver for Windows OS available now

Hello everyone,

The Catalyst 14.6 Release Candidate Driver for Windows OS is now available for download.

Please don’t forget to read the Feature Highlights (lots of information on games, including WildStar) and the Known Issues sections to learn more about this version of the driver; and use the Issue Reporting Form to report any bugs – Thank you!

Can anybody tell me if the recent Catalyst drivers have included full support for mantle on BF4 for a 7970? It was always 'coming' when Mantle was first released. I then lost interest and can't seem to find anything about it now. No worries if not, BF4 isn't even installed on my PC these days as I went back to BF3, but if the Mantle is fully supported on my card I may give it another try.

Mantle works fine on my 7990s so your 7970 should work pretty well too I would imagine

Thanks James. I could be mistaken but I seem to remember that the 7990s were supported specifically, but other cards weren't 'optimised' for Mantle/BF4 in the early releases. So I thought I was waiting for the drivers that had specific optimisation for the 7970. Maybe not though!

Bad for what though? If you having issue with a game it's best to report it or leave feedback.

Just saying been bad isn't going to help anything.

STill no 7970 mantle optimization and we are halfway through 2014, im seriously thinking of getting a 780ti i have always used AMD cards for last 5 years but they don't seem to bothered with certain cards.

It's not amd, you want to push Dice. Mantle isn't done on driver level but game side.
Look at other mantle games like thief and 7000 series works fine.

Im a BF player unfortuntaly but to the customer it makes no difference whether its AMD or DICE, if it hasn't happened it hasn't happened perhaps AMD should push DICE.
Also im not saying the 7000 series don't work im talking about the optimization.

How does mantle work for 7000 series on hardline beta? If battlefield is your main game, why go 780ti? Surely it would be a wise move to spend less and gain more buying 290.
Yiu then get full mantle support, great performance and spending less then a over price 780ti

I just want an upgrade and fancy a 780ti as AMD make false promises, ive seen people run it very well on a 780

Why the hell did AMD bother to release the 270 or 280 if all they bother to do is throw performance fixes at the 290's
