So the NDA has been lifted for the new catalyst software.

I've created an article with all of the relevant slides but i'm not allowed to self pimp so will leave the link out.

Just wondering what everyone think about the new catalyst UI etc....

Looking at the screenshots of the UI it seems a much neater layout and more logical to use. Hopefully it functions as well as it looks :)

No link i have no idea who you are or where your from so it don't help me locate anything of yours in the slightest

New UI is unnecessary. Takes you longer to set your profiles up, for example, 3D settings used to be available in a one page presentation which you could simply zip to and just adjust in a crack, now, long winded and drawn out.

Another running process I see to, PresentationFontCache.exe taking up another 9.7mb of Ram. Not 100% sure but this wasn't here last night and new CC is the only install I have done.

2nd monitor has inherited an annoying flicker whenever I open anything up in main monitor ... man, wish they would just leave stuff alone.

You are aware that the drivers are "beta" and are not supported by AMD in any shape or form. Let them iron out the problems first.

That's bookmarked for the next time someone says Nvidia drivers are better :D

They are using Windows Presentation foundation, it includes a font cache, if you don't want it running disable the service, which is a Windows service btw and nothing to do with AMD or the CCC.

My point precisely, why utilise it if it doesn't require it? The old CCC was a doddle, didn't require a damn thing and just sat in the taskbar until called upon. Meh, I just stopped the whole CCC from starting up, setting are in an XML file anyway ... does anybody remember when Nero was 3mb? ;)
