Seems like the file has been changed, it used to be an older file which was Dec 9th that was a 10.11 modified driver but now the current is dated 16th Dec so going to dl and install to see if it's a modified 10.12 which i hope it is.

Edit: Nope still modified 10.11s sigh.

Anybody tested 6970 with 10.12a hotfix drivers??

LOL EPIC — Kyle
The 6970 was getting 30-50 FPS on ULTRA ALL HIGH with ALL AA etc etc with the cata 10.10 and/or 10.11 on my system. The minute I slapped 10.12a hotfix driver I am now getting 60-170 FPS!!!!!

Well I think the 10.12a does bring some better support for the 6900 series as people say they make black ops run a lot smoother and the only review of 6970 CF that clearly states they are displaying the GPU score of 3Dmark11 I beat by about 300 points using 10.12a and everything at default.

I used the 8.79.6.2 drivers when I reviewed the HD6950 and these 10.12a drivers are exactly the same sets. All reviewers should have been using those drivers before they were publicly released.

As said, don't waste your time thinking they'll give you another 1 Billion FPS.

No i am not expecting huge improvement, but in some benchmarks 5870 and 6970 r very close

so they haven 't released performance improvement drivers for 6900 series yet?
not yet

theres no optimized drivers out yet for the 6x00 series.

support and being optimized are two different things.

past series wasn't that good without optimized drivers. people forget this
