wait. I've been having issues with my 6970 in CF (lower performance in CF bby about 30% in all games) im hoping this fixes it as I have yet to find the cause yet. only just installed the cards.

my drivers were off the official site too but because i have a shiny new 6950 i can't use the 10.12 drivers with the preview for the new CCC

it is this driver i have

5x1 eyefinity?? Didnt know this was possible unless you had the eyefinity 6 card or did you mean 4x1?

You can but you need a box of some sort. Cant remember exactly. I think u can do six also

These look to be the driver branch AMD have used to optimize for the 69** cards alone, if you are running any other card you probably shouldn't bother with these.

These "new" drivers are the 8.79.6.2 drivers which reviewers got to use. They aren't new at all. In fact, they still get detected as 10.11...

I think its a timeline issue, because they are modified 10.11's but released after the 10.12's they had to be named 10.12a.

Someone said that anyway and it makes sense bureaucratically.

Probably. But those expecting more performance from the HD69XX using these drivers shouldn't hold their breath.

support and optimize are two different things.

these only add support for the 69XX . theres no optimize in the drivers yet for the 69XX
