Im after a mobo that has an intergrated ATI based card (not nvidia), intergrated CPU (either AMD or Intel) and onboard PSU (no external PSU). Is there a mobo about that fulfills these requirements?

Not sure if any desktop board have onboard PSU. Some embedded system one may well do. What do you want it for?

The only desktop stuff you could get would be AMD E-350/450 boards or some Intel Atom stuff.

Ah I stand corrected. Zotac to the SFF rescue:

AMD E-350 http://www.zotac.com/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage_images-SRW.tpl&product_id=413&category_id=98&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=100176&lang=en

They do some Atom boards that have an onboard PSU but they have Nvidia GPUs.

Im sure i can remember seeing some mobos back last year that just had a 3.5mm jack for an bog standard adaptor like you got on the old console systems (SNES & Megadrive). Im after a micro mobo for a MAME (arcade emulator) project i want to make. Basically have it hooked up to an old CRT TV via VGA to SCART, so ideally want a really small system, hence all the integrated stuff, MAME needs sod all too run really so any mobo from the last 3-5 years will do

Hmm well that Zotac I linked to is pretty pricey at around £140 a go. Basically because you dont want Nvidia GPUs that is your only real option as any older/cheaper boards are Atom and so have the Nvidia ION GPUs

Does that have integrated PSU supply, i can seen an mention of it. Yeah i was looking around the £50-£75 mark really...i think any recent mobos (within the last year) will be out of that price range

Damn never even knew anything like that existed!! Yeah that would defo be a solution question is though how much are they and from where....every extra component that i add is going to ram up the price though isnt it!? I take it the pico just runs from a 12volt 3.5mm adaptor then?

Maybe a solution would be browsing eBay for a cheap older HTPC setup, that way would have everything i need.....the only down side to this is getting something i want (really small outlay) and of course not having the joy of building the pc up :(

About £30 Just search google for them they go up to 150W which is more than enough for an integrated cpu and one hdd.
Which allows you to use cheaper mobos. Do you NEED and AMD GPU?

yeah has to be an AMD im afriad..... i guess i could get a micro mobo without a intergrated card and get a really small ATI card...ill have a look and see what size the smaller older ati cards are like

Then something like this http://www.asrock.com/mb/overview.asp?Model=E350M1 is around £80 so £110 for the lot still cheaper than the Zotac for the same setup.

Sadly as far as I am aware there aren't any Atom boards with ATi/AMD GPUs but I will double check.

The other option as you said is to try to find an old htpc to take parts from but even then they will probably all be Atom/ION.

edit: BRAINWAVE! You could get a netbook mobo and cooler dirt cheap off the bay and use that. Could be some display issues not too sure but it might be worth looking into.

Cool cheers, apparently an ATI x300 will do the job for MAME.....they can be had for like £6 on eBay lol

Do any micro ITX mobos have a full size PCI-E slot to fit a ATI x300 or x600 gfx card, they all seem to be a micro PCI-E slot?
