AMD Cool&Quite

Hi i was wondering are they any disadvantages of AMD Cool&Quite. I know if you overclock your CPU it will screw up the overclock but if a CPU is not overclocked is there any bad points?

I dont know any problems with it either, anyone know if it makes a difference to temperatures?

Intels speed step doesn't appear to make any (significant) difference to temperatures or power consumption, but I'm new to amd

I'm using it atm and tbh it doesnt change them temp to much.
