Hi i just wanted to ask if a Zalman FS-C77 Fatal1ty CPU Cooler, is any better than the stock cooler that comes with the AMD athlon 3700+.

Thanks for your help!

louder than stock cooling though i think, rather high speed 120mm fan, similar to blue orb II but louder, more expensive and slgihtly better at cooling

never used one, i have a blue orb II with stock fan removed and faster spinning one, there not as shoddy as some think

"Zalman FS-C77 Fatal1ty CPU Cooler"

Is a nice cooler an is better than a stock one but for the price u`d expect that ;)

BUT !!! with the Zalman the problem i found there isn`t much clearance for RAM sticks that are slightly bigger than norm u`d better check on the height of ya RAM off the MB b4 u get one of these ...

I have 2 x 1 Gig Corsair 3500LLPRO sticks the ones with the flashin LED`s on top
these Sticks are a bit bigger than ya normal RAM sticks,an the problem i had is the RAM stick was touching the bottom of the Zalman HSF where it realy over hangs out !! an it was the one closest to it that wasn`t stood dead straight either :(

Problem storted by buying a Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 Pro an tbh its a even better buy than the Zalman better fit on an around my cpu an is just a bit cooler than the Zalman, an the biggest Plus it was cheaper :D

the EXACT same problem i had with my muskin redline hitting bottom of blue orb II, i fixed it with a round piece of copper to raise the cooler a few mm higher, worked brilliant now :D
