When I got my 1st AMD it was a 2000+ stock speed was 1.67Ghz i think, they supposed to have called it the 2000 as it was meant to equal the speed of a 2Ghz pentium cpu, i then had an over clocked 1700+ stock speed was 1.5Ghz so they were fairly close. But now I see AMD 4200 only being 2.4Ghz, is this meant to be as fast as a 4Ghz pentium? They seem to be well off the mark now, I used to like AMD, not anymore, doubt I will ever go back.
Am I very wrong? if so please point me in the right direction.
Thanks
