Just noticed the crossfire profile options at the bottom of CCC, do I have to choose the game on the list I'm playing and then click apply before I play it or can I just keep it on the "AMD Pre-Defined Profile" ?

Any help is appreciated :)

Already answered in the other thread you posted in.

The correct profile should automatically be selected based on the .exe file of the game.

Crossfire works in more than one way.

What I mean is there is more than one "method" to scale a game.

Ages ago I was very clued up on it but it's been a long while since I used it.

I know that one method is alternate. There are other methods, and there used to be an application called Crossfire profiler? or something that allowed you to create and try different methods of scaling instead of waiting on ATI.

IIRC they may have been four different ways for Crossfire to scale a game. If the method was set incorrectly then performance would be worse than just using one card.

Another "trick" was to rename your game's .exe file to something else. So as an example of that when NFS : SHIFT would not scale and I was getting 20 FPS on CF 5770 I simply renamed the exe to Grid.exe. Sure enough, game scaled perfectly.

If your game scales properly then leave the presets alone. They are usually right as AMD/ATI know what they are doing when it comes to setting them up correctly.

Also you can set All the settings on that page to a specific game of your choosing by using the Save including CF profile.
