You can buy a quad core, retail packed Athlon AM1 for around £45. Very similar to the console apparently but I would bet that most of that £45 is mark up at retail and the packing. The chip probably costs bugger all.

1152 Shaders

And then it's differed due to the memory set ups etc. And those Llano GPU shaders aren't GCN. 320 Shaders at 600MHZ GCN would wipe Llano away.

PS4 is two quad core Jaguars stuck together with a customised 7870 GPU (compute enhancements).

Xbone is two quad core Jaguars stuck together with a 7790 GPU as well as ESRAM all on the same die.

Both console GPU's are slightly cut down compared to their desktop counterparts presumably to ensure good yields (disabled units etc).

Both APU's are by far and away better than the AM1 Kabini but the CPU side is still weak, good for multitasking that's about it.

It is perhaps somewhat lower than i thought, but its still pretty good.

AMD's annual revenue is around $6bn, up from around $4.5bn pre Consoles.

No one is denying that AMD generates sifnificant revenue form console sales, that isn't the issue.
