Do you still get called bumhug?
looks like this 3d vcache chip wont help much in windows 11, may help bring windows 10 style zen3 performance to windows 11 lol.

The release will be too close to Zen 4 IMO. May as well just go for that as long as DDR5 is certainly better than DDR4 by then.looks like this 3d vcache chip wont help much in windows 11, may help bring windows 10 style zen3 performance to windows 11 lol.
The rigged buildWhich build?
Makes perfect sense, if you can put ddr5 into a ddr4 board. The release will be too close to Zen 4 IMO. May as well just go for that as long as DDR5 is certainly better than DDR4 by then.
So, looks like Zen 3 Threadripper has been delayed again - I reckon they will launch with this stack design and that's the reason for the delay.
How much cache do you think AMD will add to TR?
It's a standard 64MiB per chiplet, isn't it? So each chiplet has 96MiB cache in total, and multiply that up by however many chiplets in a TR SKU. So a 5990XT (for lack of a better name) would be 768MiB cache total (8 x 96Mib)How much cache do you think AMD will add to TR?
96MB per chiplet, so
8X 768MB.
4X 384MB.
2X 192MB.
They are derived from Milan X, ultimately those are the reason 3D stacked chips, the flagship is EPYC 7773X.

Will certainly be more expensive though. A decent B550 + fast RAM are quite cheap atm, even if you spend a lot on the CPU (i.e. 5900X/5950X w/ V-C), but chances are even if CPU prices are close to Zen 3 V-C the mobos & DDR5 will be double or more. The release will be too close to Zen 4 IMO. It will be interesting to see how Intel’s IGP performs with DDR5.
Lol thats like asking how an aygo would perform with high octane fuel.
