Good news it already says just disabling the thing completely that is affected at most only gives a 1% performance hit if you worried by it

It is looking good so far. Always the chance other variants will be discovered - just look how Intel's Skylake vulnerabilities snowballed over a few months.

Just about any CPU architecture over time will become vulnerable to increasingly clever side-channel and similar type attacks and as I said, to some derision, back along even Zen, etc. eventually people will find ways - which is why it is a good idea to not keep reheating iterative versions of the same architecture indefinitely.

Although as before - if someone is exploiting these vulnerabilities on a desktop platform you have other more serious security issues to worry about first. (Multi-user environments can be another story).
