So I bought a 7850 for another PC i'm building.

I usually use a GTX 780 and it runs everything fine, but since putting the 7850 in to test it won't launch BF4 at all.

I just get "AMD Display driver has stopped responding" or whatever

The card runs BF3 fine, so I don't see what the problem is.

Latest AMD drivers, no overclocks...everything normal.

"latest drivers" or "latest beta drivers" - there is a difference. You need the latter 13.11 beta's - probably v8 or v9.2 for BF4.

Usually display stopped responding is that the driver crashed - which could be overclocking related, power/psu related or perhaps the software (BF4) sent it something it couldnt handle properly - hence the v8/v9.2 patches. There are also quite a few bugs in BF4.

I do hope you wiped the Nvidia drivers from your system, and you are not running any MSI Afterburner with the GTX780 profiles on.

The "stopped responding" message, has to do with lower than normal voltage or heat due to overclocking.

The driver is good (at least after 13.9) to restart itself.
