I recently purchased the VTX Radeon HD 6870 from the London International Technology Show and since installing have faced this message multiple times after the screen freezing and blacking out. This happens at random intervals when idling and everytime a game starts to load.
I have the Dell Studio XPS 8100 but swapped the old PSU for a new 600W to feed the graphics card.
Using gpu-z the temps, on idling it shows temps of around 45C, so I don't think it's overheating.

Any help would be appreciated.

Are you using ati's latest drivers rather than the ones that came with the graphics card?

What model psu is it?

The errror you mentioned is fairly generic and could be caused by a driver or software issue as well as a hardware issue.

Yes, I've uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers 5 times so far and cleaned them inbetween with driver cleaner pro.

X-power ATX-600TD

I see, so how would I go about tracking down what was causing it?

Yes, I have uninstalled and re-installed them 5 times now, using driver cleaner pro in between.

The PSU is a X-power ATX-600TD

What's the best way to find out what it is then?

I've bought the same model from ocuk and I've realised that they've taken it out. Been using mine for over 2 weeks now no problems whatsoever though.
Installed the latest drivers from the amd site. didn't install from CD. All good for me unless it messes up.
