AMD Driver Issues - RX6600 and Windows 11

Update: I have disabled the motherboards WIFI 6 and installed a cheap USB WIFI Adaptor which allows me to connect to the internet, join online games with no errors as well as running at 144HZ therefore it does appear the monitor/DisplayPort is causing connectivity issues.

It will do for now but obviously not an ideal solution therefore I might look at running a Ethernet Cable up to where my system is based.

The only thing that is bugging me is that in 2022 how can I not use Intel's WIFI 6 without issues, there must be a fix to allow this to function as it should... I looked at other WIFI Boards and they all use the same WIFI and can't imagine mine is faulty as it does somewhat work?

Least for now I can get my gaming fix which has been long overdue!

Despite not an ideal solution at least you have one. It does seem crazy that the wifi is causing issues and also the other issues you had prior with the graphics drivers. I wonder if further bios updates will fix this for you. Have you considered ethernet powerline adapters ? I have used them in the past and they have been very good. I try to run as much as I can via ethernet as it eliminates most network issues I have encountered, even hard wired 4 rooms when I built my house 6 years ago. I love wires :)

EDIT - Just done a bit more googling and it appears as though some others have wifi and possibly ethernet issues with the board you have. Maybe because its new or just bad luck !!

USB WIFI is doing it's job but extremely annoying how I am unable to use WIFI 6 due to my Monitor/DisplayPort configuration.

When building my first computer I expected issues but after it booting first time I thought the hard bit was over!

New issue, thought I would bump this thread as after some advise especially whilst I am within my 30 days period of returns...

When I power on my PC I have had a couple of instances where the screen is all fuzzy and static but by unplugging the display port cable and plugging it back in the screen comes on however once booted into Windows I only have 1024 x 768 RES available, by disabling the RX6600 and enabling it within device manager it brings me back to 1920 x 1080.

Could this be a faulty GPU, Monitor or even the Displayport cable?

Below is an example of what the screen does (Not every boot)

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated as these teething problems are so deflating!

Edit: I have never relied on WiFi but I thought in 2022 it would be no issue and rather than any kind of adaptor why not get a WiFi Mobo!!

60 Hz - No issue
85 Hz - No issue
100 Hz - No issue
120 Hz - No issue
144 Hz - No WiFi

Now after all the faffing I can atleast load some games up and happily play at that refresh rate however it would be nice to be able to get to the bottom of it, obviously something to do with the frequency interfering but surely I’m not the first to be on Virgin Media with a Wifi Board and a 144Hz monitor! :D
As much as I disliked my experience with Radeon drivers, this could be due to your cable not being able to handle the bandwidth, I would suggest buying a quality VESA certified cable if this is DP you are using.

KableDirekt do great cables on amazon (8K VESA Certified)

I think at this point the cable has something to do with it, my monitor is dated and think it’s time for an upgrade to go with the new system so be interesting to see if this resolves the issue despite me being okay with the current work around for now.

I will report back, if it doesn't I’ll give one of the cables you linked to rule everything out!

Thank you

Can you try with a wired connection, to rule out whether its an AMD issue or an Intel issue? I've never seen anything like this issue.
yea i have a problem with my bluetooth drivers. i have a motherboard with bluetooth and wifi on it but after a couple of restarts or whatever the bluetooth just dissappears. i did fix it twice but it happened again and i jsut couldnt be arsed, i bought a cheap bluetooth adaptor instead. it was a huge pain and required CMOS resetting for me to ge tit working but it would stop again and the faff annoyed me too much.

can you not just go to windows 10 instead of 11 and see if that fixes it?
