AMD Driver question

Hi everyone,

I've noticed a lot of people saying the best amd drivers for the 7900 series is catalyst 12.11 - but version 13.2 beta is out. Does this they've chosen 12.11 over 13.2? Are all the 12.11 settings also in 13.2?

It's a little bit confusing for me!

12.11 seem to be stable compared to the further released versions. I have 13.2 myself and they seem fine to me. But as they're beta stage, they can go wrong at any time. I have seen a few hiccups.

13.1 is the final WHQL version of 12.11. However you should use the latest beta version which is 13.2 beta 7. The cap files are now included as part of the driver so you don't need them any more either.

the 13.2 betas have been the most stable and best drivers for me in a lot of ways and it's not like "stable" releases aren't full of bugs either. there are still a few major things amd need to work on and until they're fixed, i'm treating them all like betas anyway.

13.2 have been rock solid for me so far.

The beta VGA driver is solid for me, i installed just that driver though and not the rest of the package, cause the HD audio driver that comes in the beta doesnt work with my TV.

Been running 13.2 beta6 with Radeon Pro since it came out playing Far Cry 3 and Hitman Absolution with no problems whatsoever.
