Hi all

Did I read this right, or am i thinking about something else ?
I thought from 10.12, AMD were releasing drivers on a weekly basis
 
AMD need to spend more time between releases, rather than less imho.

That way they might get more than 1 bug fixed per month.
 
No it's profiles weekly, drivers basically all the profiles plus some more technical stuff rolled into one package. Haven't pushed out any over Christmas though. Not surprising really, 10.12 was a mess/joke.

so when do you think we shall see this happen ?

do you think 11.1 with have 69xx full support ?
 
Bit harsh perhaps, putting out drivers early just so you'll have one at release day, that fails to support the product being released is he worst gpu launch I can remember tbh. The black screen bug is what p*eed me off tbh, although amd are aware of it they were also aware of the oc profile problem for 6 months :-/ Oh and the return of the grey screen. 10.10 being the only one supporting 69xx cards, and several tweaks from 10.10x not making it to either .11 or .12 too (5 series mlaa).

pc displaying a black screen when woken from screen saver/sleep or in my case, booting to a black screen. Can't remember which file causes it but it's present in 10.11 (10.12 less frequently). 10.10e was the last decent driver released :(
 
I've had one black screen issue when waking up from sleep since installing 10.12. Other than that, I've had absolutely no problems whatsoever.

I heard that AMD will be putting out new drivers in the second half of this month, although probably not a reliable source.

It's always the second half of the month. Probably Wednesday too.
 
Ahh, that's probably why then! :p

I don't really follow driver releases too closely. Most likely because I've never had any issues, and therefore I have never had the need to be educated on the subject.
