AMD dual core locations?

Ive just got a opteron 185, and when I strees the cpu,, 1 core is at 65c and the other is at 75c, and at idel there about 1 or 2c out of eachother. Ive resat the heatsink twice by putting a the size of a grain of rice of AS5 in the middle of the cpu, with no change in temps at all. Im using the stock heatsink that came with the cpu.

I thinking of totally covering the cpu with a very thin layer of as5, just incase the 1 spot of as5 in the centre is missing one of the cores?

Also are both the cores near enough ment to be the same temp?

Thats taking the metal plate off the cpu? is this hard todo?

Just been reading up on it, and I cant do that cos the heatsink wont fit tightly... If the problem is as you say, a new heatsing wont make much diff will it?

So what can I do,, can I send it back for poor temps?? Will my temps inprove if I let it settle in, and dont stress it?

At the mo temps are 35-36c core 1.. 37 - 38c core 2, thats doing light work in vista

I dont understand it, the idel/windows temps are similar to my fx55 temp in the 30s,, but as soon as you stress it out with prime95, temps go stright to the 50s and then slowly increase from there.. Is that normal??

Thinking to buy this heatsink guys,, what do you think?

Will I have probs fitting it to this board with the mem being so close?

Yeah it could be moved, but might get another gb in there(3gb). Will I need to remove the motherboard to install it?
