Itching for an upgrade.... :D

(Current rig in sig).

Obviously, 2GB is on the cards, but that's not going to help everything, just things like FEAR (I don't play BF2).

For those of you with overclocked dual cores, what do you think will beat my CPU in games?

I know I was surprised when Welshtom told me his X2 @ 2.8Ghz beat his single core @ >3Ghz in 3DMark2001 (2001!!!).

Whadya reckon? I'm thinking I'll need 2.8Ghz per core, but the other problem is I'm a tight git when it comes to CPUs, so will the 3800 clock to 2.8Ghz on both cores? (I have high-end custom watercooling).

Thanks guys!

a couple of things

on 3dmark a [email protected] is the same as a [email protected] on 3dmark 05

and my corsair 2gb will do 233@2,2,2,5 1T if that helps

Thanks dude. Nice rig ;)

Dunno if Corsair will do that in a DFI - I've only heard bad things about the combo. I'm hoping the G.Skill ZX 2-3-2-5 will do 2-2-2-6 with a little coaxing (ie overvolting ) :D

PS - get that '01 score up! Did you use 2k or XP? 2k will be quite a bit faster.
