hi guys noob here i will be updating my system to an amd dual core cpu is there any specific programs or patches for windows xp needed? i'm sure i have read something about this but can't seem to find it lol.

can i ask will this improve things within xp pro?
 
It's supposed to help with games.

I've never used it myself (have only had Intel dual-cores).
