Hello guys

I am wondering whats the best settings to have for my cpu to over clock it, i currently have the 2.6ghz overclocked to 3.0ghz by making the multiplier 15.

I have heard however this is not the best way as im not increasing the FSB im not overclocking the memory as well

Id be game to do this but when ever i fiddle with the FSB i get a lot of BSOD. my ram is extra value 800mhz 4 gig.

Any ideas please?

problem there is i really have no idea what im doing with all the settings i need, and when you ask anyone what you need to do they make is sounds more complicated than i can follow,
or stuff doesnt match up to what they said and im left stareing at my bios saying, where the frag is this option they are talking about.

So just want to find some one/something that says,
Muliplier should be this ....
fsb this....
voltage this....
HT this...

i appriciate it is complicated but i have been reading about overclocking and attempting it for 2 months now and all i understand is the multiplyer

im guessing the FSB does not like being played with when the multiplier is so high. does that mean 208x15.5? Logic tells me thats a lot of multiplying and it might not like it??

Maybe if we set the multiplier to 10 and then play around with the FSB? ill give it a go tonight when i get in from work.

Any 1 recemend a good program for checking stability? cos if i play games ill just get angry when it crashes.

what information would you like?

AMD black +5000 duel core

Asus republic of gamers crosshair MB

8800gtx 768 mb ddr3 oem

4 sticks of 1 gig extra value ram 800mhz

The only thing i have over clocked is the multiplier to 15 as i then get 3.0ghz and its rock solid but i hear it can go to 16, but its unstable even if i fiddle with voltages, but im so dam scared of breaking it with the voltage i only increase it to 1.4600 or something before i wont go further.
What is the voltage i dont want to go near, i know it can vary but what is considered dangerous to the cpu?
