amd equivalent

Which is the equivalent amd processor to the above with no overclocking etc.

An Athlon 64 3000. There will be slight differences - each has its own strengths but they'll be roughly equal.

You'd be mad not to overclock though

Most of the time a 3200+ s939 chip keeps up pretty well.

Well as always Amd are faster in games and slower at encoding compared to Intel equivalents.

It's going in a geovison pc based cctv system so I need to keep it as realiable as possible hence no overclocking!

@reality the recommended cpu in the instructions just says p4 as in my first post

An A64 3000 with the Venice core will probably be completely reliable with a 25% overclock on air. I think AMD only marked them so low to meet demand. Not that there's any point to overclocking if the CPU will meet your needs without it.
