I have a new AMD R9 290, and i'm trying to setup eyefinity.

The monitor connections on the card are as follows.

2 x DVI, 1 x HDMI, 1 x display port. My monitors are 3 x regular 19" (1280 x 1024).

Currently I only have 2 monitors working, 1 is connected to a DVI, and the other the HDMI.

There is a third monitor connected to the remaining DVI however AMD catalyst software does not detect this.

I'm only use to Nvidia cards, this is my first AMD in 20 years. Can anyone help.

I have this working now. It was the most strange issue ever, it appears one of my monitors will not work with the AMD card (this is despite years working on nvidia setup).

I own 5 (yes five) Ag Neovo E19A - they are a high end glass fronted monitor fist introduced around 2001 - still have very good picture quality, run 3 at a time on a Ergotron stand.

I noticed 1 of my monitors would not work on the AMD card, when it worked it would display green sometimes. At first I thought it was the cable, so swapped that but same issue.

It appears there is some odd issue with this monitor that the AMD card does not like. Maybe a circuit on the monitor is breaking down, and the tolerance on AMD is more sensitive then the Nvidia cards. I never would have believed this without having the swap out the monitor and cable, lucky I carry spare monitors!

Going to try battlefield on eyefinity now!

Are you using an adapter on the Displayport, or is it a pure Displayport connection?

I was using normal display port.

Ok this is working, however there is an issue with refresh rates.

Currently I have a 2 monitors on a DVI each and the third using using the HDMI. My monitors support 75Hz, however they are currently only working at 60Hz.

If I only use 2 monitors they automatically set correctly to 75Hz. However once eyefinity is enabled they only work at 60Hz. I have tried to change in windows but it says max refresh is 60Hz, this is despite AMD catalyst saying they can work at 75Hz.

Does anyone have any solution to the above?

More success!

I've downloaded a utility to lock all 3 screens to 75Hz, and all monitors are staying at 75Hz. This was important as I was getting a little eye strain when running at 60Hz.

2001?
Thats like dark ages...;)
go 120hz and you wont go back...

I would if I could find a monitor I liked. I did recently have a modern LED but never liked picture and returned it.

I was in Overclockers on Saturday, and other then resolution and hz there was nothing that appeared better then these old monitors.
