AMD eyefinity refresh is stuck at 60Hz

I've posted about this before but never really got an answer.

I have an AMD R9 290 running eyefinity on 3 identical monitors, the monitors support 75Hz, however eyefinity only offers 60Hz.

When running Nvidia cards there is no issue and 75Hz is detected, so it's definitely a card issue.

At present I've switched back to my Nvidia setup, however if anyone knows a fix, or recent drivers have solved the problem, then i'm willing to try the AMD card again.

Were you able to set the refresh rate of any/all of the monitors to 75Hz when running the screens with Eyefinity disabled (so they were three independent monitors)?

Can't do any testing to help at this end I'm afraid, all my monitors are 60Hz only.
 
Something else I've not mentioned, when I originally installed this card (summer 2014), I had a piece of software that hacked refresh rates. With this I was then able to run eyefinity at 75Hz.

I can't remember what piece of software this was however, last time the card was installed I tried hacking the refresh but this time it did not work.
 
Bit of a long shot, hoping someone seeing this knows a fix.

In original post was hoping new drivers may have resolved but maybe not.
