On that budget AMD, Phenom II 955BE, but as earlier your use does effect it

Somewhat risky, but you might just get a bargain. When I helped my friend build a system recently, he decided to play it safe and get the 955.
Just follow your heart. Go which whichever company you feel is right for you. Whichever you choose, you're unlikely to go wrong.
