AMD freesync coming soon, no extra costs.... shocker

So when are we talking rough release dates for monitors with this tech? I cant hold off on this vista era panel any longer! :)

Frigs sake, don't think I can wait that long. Should I just get a half decent 1080p or is 120hz that good?

You don't know smooth until you've tried 120Hz. Even the desktop is smoother! I've held off upgrading to a monitor with higher resolution due to the lack of 120/144Hz - thank god for the Asus ROG Swift (OC'd korean monitors don't count).

Full screen is the best way to watch it and I can see barely any judder compared to the Freesync off mode, but will need an on hands view though

Dunno if my eyes are playing tricks on me but I might be able to detect some judder even with it on. Only a video tho.

I notice it too, but because it's youtube, I'll reserve judgement.

Doesn't help that their orientation is different from the start, and I'm sure the Free Sync one is moving faster too.

Need to see reviews, I don't trust anything AMD put on a video (With good reason, does no one remember when AMD's false advertising with Bulldozer? Showing the FX8150 beating a 980X in Cinebench, when it turned out that the results were from a stock 2500k!)

lol that reminds me of M$ disguising a high-end gaming PC as Xbone :D

But that's not true is it? You blatantly can see a difference in the two.

Ideally, you need to see it side by side to get the true representation.

I don't believe so. If you remember back when Gsync was first shown that demo played back on YouTube also looked like it wasn't smoother then the vsync one. But people at the event were going crazy over it.

So that youtube video in this very thread, you can't tell the difference between?

I'd start booking some appointments.
