Sorry, wasn't sure whether to put this in sff section or here?...
Basically Im looking to get all my media shared on a nas and get a small efficient mitx case setup for xbmc in the lounge. Got my athlon x4 rig on all the time at the moment and its just not practical or paricularly 'green'.
However i think now i could just make the nas and the htpc the same unit. Im thinking of building a little home media server of a amd 350 board with a few TB's of storage inside and have a really long hdmi cable to connect it to my big lcd tv.
Will a amd 350 set up with 4gb ram be able to handle 1080p xbmc work and run squeezecenter for a couple logitech players at the same time without struggling?
Im guessing il run either win7 or xp, although apparently windows server edition is also an option, but not familiar with its bebefits. I would probably use samba for all file sharing.
Thanks for any input guys.
