Hi there
I'm upgrading my present AMD 64 4000+ and am torn between the FX-57 (2.8ghz) and FX-60 (2.6ghz)
I appreciate the FX-60 is a dual-core processor, but the primary use of my PC is for gaming.
From my understanding single-core CPU's are better for gaming, but at the same time I am trying to future proof my system.
Which ever CPU I end up with will be teamed with an ASUS A8N SLI-Premium
motherboard, 7900GTX card and 2 gb RAM.
In your opinion, would the FX-60 be a better choice for the future even though there are few games that need dual-core processing ??
What about older games from the last few years ?? Will they run ok with a dual-core CPU ?
Appreciate all your opinions, being new to the world of dual-core processing.
cheers
